Future Apartment, Interzum trade fair in Cologne. Germany

‘Future Apartment’ refers to a special show on the REHAU stand at interzum 2019 that shared memorable experiences and technical insights beyond the usual kitchen units and standard flats. REHAU presented its latest surface technology which boasts functionalities that create intelligent, emotional added value. The multidisciplinary design studio Ippolito Fleitz Group created the design concept for Future Apartment

The future apartment

The future apartment takes a radical approach, reducing kitchen, living room and bathroom to three sculptural objects. They remain deliberately abstract, to highlight in a striking, playful way the array of technical possibilities offered by REHAU materials and technologies. Visitors to the furniture supplier fair interzum in Cologne found plenty of touch points and communication triggers, stimulating their imaginations and igniting in-depth conversations. Thanks to an innovative customer journey, the staging devised by Ippolito Fleitz Group created an international ripple effect beyond REHAU’s trade fair presence. Each of the three objects – kitchen, living room and bathroom – is a distinctive, standalone structure. And each of these structures communicates with the viewer in its own unique way. The three areas also represent a divergence from the usual apartment clichés because of their distinct styling.
