New fully automated service and logistics centre

In addition to the already successful edgeband production facility at our Visbek site in Lower Saxony, we have now created the largest service and logistics centre for RAUKANTEX edgebands.
At its heart it's a fully automated high-bay warehouse with additional service points. The digital integration of production and logistics in a single location facilitates quicker availability, increased storage space and greater speed along the entire production, picking and service chain.
This investment not only allows us to increase our capacity for our RAUKANTEX stock range, but also clearly demonstrates our commitment to Germany as a business location. “Made in Germany” is both a quality pledge to customers and a commitment to our roots.

Clever logistics instead of your own warehouse

Our new logistics centre provides a European edging service, allowing us to support our partners and customers even more efficiently. We offer our dealers a full-service package, with 200,000 edgebands in over 2,400 colours and decorative designs as stock items, along with complete preassembly and the appropriate distribution logistics. With REHAU as a partner, distributors can entirely dispense with their own stockkeeping.

Our highly automated logistics centre allows us to almost double our edging service capacity. Our customers benefit from the optimum link between the factory and logistics centre at the same location: rapid availability, increased storage space and higher speeds along the entire production, fabrication and service chain. The ideal edgeband for every requirement – this means variety in processing and continuous expansion of the range. Because the edgebands need to perfectly match the boards. Our range of RAUKANTEX stock items is therefore extensive: over 200,000 different edgeboard versions in more than 2,000 different colours and decorative designs are available from stock. Suitable for over 16,000 panels and laminates from the leading manufacturers and joined by over 300 new colours and decorative designs every year.

Integral sustainability

Sustainability and the protection of natural resources are important to us. So it goes without saying that REHAU’s edgeboard production and logistics set a good example. In the case of RAUKANTEX, the company’s sustainability approach includes using formulations free of harmful substances, producing sustainable edgebandd ranges, ensuring maximum recycling and reutilisation of production and processing waste, and the use of 100% carbon-neutral electricity for production in all European edgeband plants. This also applies to our new logistics centre in Visbek.
When it comes to CO₂emissions, REHAU leaves a different kind of footprint. Thanks to our new logistics centre, lorry movements for plant logistics can be significantly reduced, representing savings in CO₂ emissions of around 62.5 tons per year.
