Stone, clay, and marble—natural materials created over a long period of time—exert a special fascination. They radiate a calm, harmonious depth that provided the impetus for the new look and feel of RAUVISIO crystal Strong. Following a design overhaul, REHAU’s tried-and-tested glass laminate collection is now more homogeneous, subtle and contemporary—in matt and high gloss.

Nature is a source of energy, a haven of peace, a place to recharge your batteries—and it continues to provide new inspiration for design. Its shapes, structures and color moods characterize interiors that convey consistency and yet are open to novel ideas. With the updated RAUVISIO crystal Strong Collection, REHAU translates this effect into modern natural decors with a visual glass effect, focusing on expressive surfaces inspired by nature. Newly interpreted, they are calmer, clearer and more universally compatible. The combination with the smart properties of the glass creates depth effects, design flexibility and versatile application possibilities for modern interiors—from private living areas to shopfitting, offices or public buildings.

A more balanced look

With the relaunch of the RAUVISIO crystal Strong Collection, REHAU has rebalanced the color and decorative effect. The surfaces retain their natural appearance and depth effect, while appearing calmer and more homogeneous. This creates decors that can be used as a defining surface, but also work in combination with monochrome colors, wood, metal or other mineral materials. The collection comprises six decors: Vela, Torino, Onice, Creta, Nube and Cortena. All are available in matt and high-gloss versions. Vela, Torino and Onice reflect stone and marble: from a light, finely veined interpretation to a striking, darker architectural presence. Creta, Nube and Cortena are also inspired by natural materials and bring echoes of clay, fine misty textures or cork-like grains to the collection. The common denominator is an organic aesthetic that structures spaces without overloading them visually.

“Our aim was to translate natural materials into a calm, contemporary design language,” says Anna Badum, Product Manager RAUVISIO crystal at REHAU. “The focus was on visual harmony, timeless aesthetics and deliberate reduction. The decors are intended to support room designs, but not dominate them. That is why we have not only realigned the decors but also the color scheme: subtle in depth, fine in structure, clear in effect and yet very natural.”

Visual glass effect with easy-to-process properties

RAUVISIO crystal Strong combines decors inspired by nature with the smart glass surface of RAUVISIO crystal. The designs are behind the smart glass, creating a special spatial depth, fine transitions and a three-dimensional effect. Depending on whether the matt or high-gloss version is used, this effect will vary in intensity. The light penetrates visibly into the material, so structures do not look superimposed but appear to be enclosed beneath the surface. The result is a quality that creates visual depth while remaining calm to the touch thanks to the smooth surface. At the same time, the material is lighter and more resistant to scratches and breakage than real glass or real stone. It can be processed with standard woodworking tools and is easy to clean. The matt version also has anti-fingerprint properties.

Highly versatile

The collection is suitable for furniture and front applications as well as for wall and niche cladding. The well-known slim version of RAUVISIO crystal is particularly suitable for use as wall surfaces. As it can be bonded to existing tiles, it is also suitable for renovation projects. RAUVISIO crystal Strong unfolds its organic aesthetics particularly on larger surfaces and gives interiors support, structure and a high-quality appearance. The pressed components are available as large-format composite panels with an MDF core measuring 2,800 x 1,300 x 19.0 millimeters and as thin slim glass panels measuring 2,800 x 1,300 x 3.7 millimeters.

Design-matched

For consistent furniture and room concepts, RAUVISIO crystal Strong fits into the REHAU design match. The colors of the decors are coordinated with the noble matt collection, specifically with the HPL RAUVISIO noir for horizontal and more heavily used surfaces as well as with the noble matt storage solutions RAUVOLET noble matt. A matching edgeband in the same look rounds off the component and supports a design that seems cast from a single mold. This allows surfaces, edgebands and other components to be coordinated—for furniture and interior fittings with a consistent appearance and a high degree of planning flexibility.
